As I entered through the door of Somerset, I felt nervous of what to expect. Many questions entered my mind, was I really prepared for this? Were these seniors actually going to participate? Improved blood flow to the brain keeps it in good shape. Learning new routines encourages the brain to produce new dendrites (connections between nerve cells), which help your brain to store and retrieve information more easily. In other words, Zumba works your body and your mind!
But it does more than that. Physiological changes occur in your body that alter moods. If you’ve come to a Zumba class, you’ve probably experienced this first hand.

For the past few months, Jessica and I have been visiting schools and introducing Zumba to kids from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
At some schools, we’ve had more than 50 kids at once all jumping, shaking, giggling and moving without realizing it. The Zumba kids program truly works for the appropriate ages.
I often wonder if the boys will participate. Yet, when we put the music on, they are the first ones to jump in and really get into it. Interesting.Read Full Post »

I'm excited to announce an upcoming Zumbathon! The Zumbathon is with Jessica and myself. As you guys may know, we are available to come out to your fundraiser and hold a Zumbathon. The University has asked us to do a Zumbathon on behalf of the Community Service Learning team. Every year, this team goes out and does community work for countries in need. This year, they are going to Mexico to build homes!! Funds raised will go towards travel expenses for them.
